Spiritual Healing

Spiritual Healing

Spiritual/Energy healing

I first started receiving this form of healing many years ago and I never looked back. I will admit, I’ve not had any for a while, but I am looking for a new healer. I find this form of healing just as relaxing as a massage, maybe even more so. Believe it or not, you can even do this type of healing on yourself and your loved ones.

Ok, you really should go to someone qualified, for any form of treatments, whether it be natural treatments or mainstream healthcare. When it comes to Energy/Spiritual healing, though, these are things you can do for yourself. I have given many people healing at a few places here in the UK and I have no actual qualifications. What I do have is just as much knowledge as someone who is certified (sometimes I’ve known a hell of a lot more, too) and have a lot of practical experience. I have been practicing this and massage since I was about 5yrs old, so I am confident that I know what I’m doing. I have many friends who are healers and they’re not certified, either, but I trust that they know what they’re doing.

That is mainly what it’s all about: TRUST. If you have a friend/partner who you trust completely, they are the perfect people to give you healing. As long as they have knowledge of what it entails and how to do it. It can help you to bond a little deeper too, as the healing creates a kind of energy link between healer and recipient and when it’s a friend or partner giving the healing, they will often allow their emotions to fuel the energy.

What is Spiritual /Energy healing

Basically, it’s a treatment that involves the transfer of energy through the healer to the recipient. It promotes self-healing by relaxing the body, releasing tensions and strengthening the body’s own immune system. Healing is natural and non-invasive with the intention of bringing the recipient into a state of relaxation, balance and wellbeing on every possible level. Spiritual healing is not linked to a particular religion and is not faith healing! Even all those who are sceptics can have this form of healing done.

Another form of spiritual healing is distance healing, which I give out every day. This is done in more or less the same way as having the recipient sat in front of you. It’s a visualising form of healing for those who cannot get to the healer physically. This healing can be given over a video or audio call, by looking at a photograph of the recipient or just visualising them in your mind. It can be a little more difficult to achieve the same effects as placing your hands on the recipient, but it will help.

How Spiritual Healing Works

     In-person healing

Recipient – If you have found a qualified healer, book an appointment for a consultation first, so you can have a chat with them, build a little rapport and get a sense of each other. You may wish to speak to more than one to see who you’re the most comfortable with and that is perfectly reasonable and tis your choice.

Once you’ve found someone your comfortable with, all you have to really do is show up to your sessions, sit/lay down and relax. Drink some water before and after, as you may feel a little fuzzy or lightheaded during and after the treatment. This is perfectly normal, although it doesn’t effect everyone the same way.

The healer will need to place their hands on you during the session, but you choose what you’re comfy with. All healers work differently and some will only want to place their hands on your shoulders, while others will put their hands on your head, shoulders, arms, back, hands, legs, abdomen and feet. Again, you choose what you are comfortable with and always tell your healer before each session. It’s your treatment and the whole purpose is for you to feel safe, comfy and relaxed.

Healer – Speak to the recipient honestly and openly, explaining every step of the healing process and exactly what you do during each session. Always listen to the wants and needs of the people you are healing. Whatever your usual procedure is, tailor it to their requirements and be flexible. Whether you are certified, a friend or a partner, remember that it’s mainly about the recipient. It is your responsibility to ensure they have the best experience possible. Communication and sensitivity are key.

Make sure that the recipient is comfortable once they are sat/laid down and let them know that they can stop/pause the session at any time, change position, request that you focus on a particular area, etc. Play some relaxing music, frequencies or maybe even forest or ocean sounds. Try to have a selection for people to choose from, but also let them know that it is perfectly ok to have no sounds at all. If you feel the need for music, but someone wishes for none, wear a single earbud so you can have the music, but still be able to hear your recipient.

Provide water for before and after and always make sure they are ok before leaving. Give them 10/15minutes so sit and settle after the session, so they can have time to full come round from their deep relaxation and never rush them. Always make sure you have the time for a short chat before the session and those 10/15mins after, so that you’re not rushing yourself either.

The healing – Spiritual healing is all about energy. Healers use slightly different techniques, but still use universal energy. Some use the aid of crystals and some don’t. When crystals are used, they can be based on your Chakras, around, you may be asked to hold one or two in one or both hands, or the healer may hold one or two in theirs. Either way, energy will flow.

The main technique is for the healer to channel energy through themselves and into the recipient. This energy is pure and light. The energies will cleanse and restore balance to the body and mind, targeting specific areas which would have been discussed before the start of each session.

During the session, slight tingling or a warm sensation may be felt as the energy flows through the recipient, but the healer may also feel it as they channel it. All these sensations are perfectly normal, so do not be alarmed. Open yourself up to the energies, bask in the beauty of its calming purity and enjoy!

Distance healing

Distance healing is exactly how it sounds. When you can’t be with the healer/recipient, you can send out the healing energies of the universe to anyone across the globe. You can set up a video link, so you can see each other and have some gentle music playing or the healer can just picture you in their minds. It all works and the universe will provide.

Sending healing over great distances can be a little trickier for some, but it will still work and if the healer doesn’t require a call or any visual aids, they can send it at any time to anyone. It is still best if you send out the healing when you know the recipient is going to be resting or sleeping, as they will be in a much more relaxed state to receive it, but even if they’re busy at work, it will still reach them and help them.

When I send out healing across the globe, I always meditate and picture the person I wish to heal in my mind. I also light an appropriate candle (usually white) and write their names on a tiny slip of paper, placing it under the candle holder. This helps me focus on the person better and candlelight is soft and relaxing, so it helps with the meditation.

How you wish to prepare yourself is your choice, do what is best for you and your comfort levels. Once you are relaxed and connected, gather the energies to you and then direct them to the recipient. Do this for as long as you feel is necessary and then spend some time after to slowly come out of your deep relaxation. Always have water on hand to drink at least after. Don’t rush yourself and just take your time.

I really hope you have found this week’s blog informative and enjoyable. Next week, I will be speaking about Sensual Massage, which is a very beautiful bonding moment between partners.

Take care of yourselves and each other. Love and light to you all xxx
